Replacing Your Keyboard's Contacts

To replace your keyboard's contacts, you will need to find a paperclip and bend it like so.

The contact strips come in strips of 12. Remove the offending key.

Then start removing keys on either side of the offending key until you find the end of the strip.

Then proceed the other direction until you have exposed the entire strip.

Once the strip is exposed, pull up gently on one end. The little rubber legs will come out from the circuit board

Use the paper clip in the holes of the rubber feet to poke the feet of your new contact strip back through the circuit board.

Take note of the contact strip. There are two contacts per key. One appears larger than the other. The smaller one should be furthest away from the player.
