You might be asking why we have a MIDI jack and a USB plug on your display's connector cable. 

The processor on the screen is not set up to have a USB connection that your operating system can identify as a MIDI (Mac) or Audio device (PC). So, we put a MIDI jack on the screen so that Hauptwerk's MIDI stream can reach the screen.

The USB plug is used to power the screen from the +5V that your USB port provides. If you're out of USB ports on your computer, you can use a USB wall charger adapter like you have for your smart phone.
