Thanks for ordering a MIDIWorks console package.

I know it may be somewhat overwhelming. So, we're going to try and break this down into managable steps for you. Hopefully, this will make it easier for you.

You can click on the underlined words to see the instructional videos and other links for each step.

Step 1) Build the console table - find a nice place to put it. Leave some room behind it so you can get back there to place your computer and other components. Do Not Drag the console sideways. Doing so will dislodge the toe stud bolsters.

Step 2) Assemble the key cheeks and rack, place on the table

Step 3) Connect the keyboards - plug the USB from the lowest keyboard into your computer's USB port

For Classical Organs:
  • Use preset #3 for your lowest manual or your Choir manual
  • Use preset #1 for your Great manual (if it's not the lowest)
  • Use preset #2 for your Swell manual
  • Use preset #5 for your Solo manual

For Theater Organs:

  • Use preset #3 for your lowest manual or your Accompaniment manual
  • Use preset #1 for your Great manual (if it's not the lowest)
  • Use preset #2 for your Solo manual
  • Use preset #5 for your Orchestral manual

Step 5) Mount the swell shoes on the pedalboard  and lay the pedalboard in place - connect the MIDI out from the pedalboard to the MIDI in of the top keyboard. Also remember to plug the power adapter into the pedalboard

Step 6) Hook up your computer, monitor(s), audio/MIDI interface, amps and speakers and place them in their spots in the console

Step 7) Make sure everything is plugged into power and turn things on in this order 1) audio interface (if it has a power switch. If it's powered by the computer, skip this step) 2) turn on your computer 3) turn on your amplifier(s)

Step 8) Start Hauptwerk

Step 9) Go to General Settings > MIDI Ports > MIDI in ports and select the Classic CMK Keyboard in the Console MIDI in tab.

Step 10) Now you can start auto-detecting keyboards, pistons, stops etc. by right-clicking on items on screen, selecting auto-detect and then following the instructions in the dialogue boxes. Verify the process by seeing if those items respond on screen when you press the physical keys/piston/coupler etc.
